Remember when I tested the Honey Infused Hair Oil by Negin Mirsalehi? Well, I loved it so much that it was just a matter of time before I tried another Gisou product. Ready for a little review?
I thought about trying the honey infused hair mask when I started to run out of the Honey Infused Hair Oil that my boyfriend offered me for my last birthday. I wanted to order a new oil before actually finishing my first bottle, but I didn’t feel like just ordering this product. So as I really wanted to try the hair mask, I ordered both products!
The packaging
Let’s start with what we firstly notice in this product. Its quality is indeed what interests us here, but let’s be honest : who doesn’t appreciate a nice and ‘instagrammable’ packaging? With its reusable light pink flowered box as package and its container made out of glass and a light pink lid, Gisou couldn’t do better!
The smell
I already mentioned how much I loved the natural smell of the Honey Infused Hair Oil in my other article and, once again, the smell isn’t lacking! Neither too strong, nor too light, it remains long in the hair and is a real pleasure! For the little story, I bumped into a friend yesterday night and the first thing she said was “wow, you hair smell so good, what did you use?” Well, it was thanks to both Gisou oil and mask!
The texture
Unlike many hair masks I could try, this one has a texture I honestly really love. Why? Because it is thicker than the others and creamy. It makes me feel like it is rich of good nutrients that will very well hydrate my hair. Also, I often feel the need to put a lot of product on my hair so that the mask is efficient, but with this one’s texture, a normal amount seems and is enough.
The benefits
As always when trying a product, I try it long enough to see how well it works on the middle/long term. I’ve used this one as a night mask, as a 5-10 minutes mask, with and without adding drops of Honey Infused Hair Oil for over 8 weeks now. I guess that it is even better to mix it with the oil, but the result I got even without adding some was great! My hair was shinier than ever and so so sooooo soft too. I think it also helps my curls to actually curl – it’s something I also noticed the oil did. And don’t worry, I don’t compliment this mask just because I love Negin’s work, but this product is truly bomb! I feel like it hydrates my hair better than any other mask I have ever used (okay I surely haven’t tried them all, but still). This is also probably because the ingredients are natural, which is amazing! After using it, I assure you that your hair will be left soft, with an amazing scent and shiny finish.
This is it for the review! I know that we don’t all like the same things and also don’t have the same needs when it comes to hair, but I think this product is highly qualitative and works well, so I can only encourage you to try it.
